Read forecasts and set up weather widgets on an Android phone.
The reviewed standard and free-network Android editions are free open-source software. The standard edition has no proprietary components; the free-network flavor limits connected weather sources. Forecast coverage, shared API limits and any personal API-key costs depend on the chosen source. Open-Meteo has a free non-commercial route; commercial API use has separate terms. Current location is optional, but weather services receive the selected coordinates or city. This covers weather charts, widgets and supported alerts, without reproducing CARROT’s personality, Apple Watch integration or every premium map feature.
