Install on your computer · Instructions checked 2026-10-14

1. Choose the current Windows download or Linux installation route from the official publisher’s Download and Install pages.
2. For Windows, download the current win64 EXE from the official Download page and use its installer. The page publishes a SHA-256 checksum for that file.
3. For Linux Flatpak, add Flathub for your user using the official setup command. Command: flatpak remote-add --user --if-not-exists flathub https://flathub.org/repo/flathub.flatpakrepo
4. Install the Flatpak with the publisher’s documented per-user command. Command: flatpak install -y --user flathub com.github.vkohaupt.vokoscreenNG
5. On Windows, open the installed vokoscreenNG application. On Linux only, start the Flatpak with the documented launch command. Command: flatpak run com.github.vkohaupt.vokoscreenNG

Choose only the steps for your operating system; the platform paths are alternatives. Official support is Windows and Linux; no macOS installer was verified. The older Linux .run installer is only available through the version limit stated on the publisher’s page; newer Linux releases should use Flatpak or a supported distribution package. Linux Wayland, audio and codecs have additional runtime requirements in the official README. Window recording is identified as Linux-only. The recorder is free; optional donations are separate. Recordings consume your device storage and processing resources.
