The open-source server and web client are free to self-host. Supply your own audiobook files and podcast feeds; storage, a server and network access can cost extra. Audiobookshelf does not include Audible, Spotify or Netflix subscription catalogs. The official mobile apps are in beta, and the iOS beta is currently full; the browser client remains available.
An extensible music server for a computer or Raspberry Pi.
The Apache-licensed core is free and plays local audio files and internet radio. It runs on a computer with audio output and uses a web client or an optional MPD extension for control; hardware, storage and third-party client costs are separate.
